Jack's Box v2.0

The night was darker than he thought it would be. The chilly air stung at Jack’s face, like so many tiny wasps. Cold drifted through his veins like butterflies fluttering through a sunny sky. How Jack wished he was there, with the butterflies, instead of here, with the fog and the trashcans and the inky black alley. He was supposed to be meeting someone here, but hey, who knew if that would work out?   
He cursed his stupidity over and over. Who would fall for such a stupid-   
(Though, if he was honest, he would admit that he loathed saying it,)   
-junk e-mail?

I could hear footsteps fast approaching. When Dani entered the room she looked from me to the dog. Rosie had her nose exactly where I didn't want it.   
"What in the hell are you two doing?!" The smile playing across her lips betrayed the accusation as a joke.   
"It isn't what it looks like!" I protested, though it was unnecessary. I tried pushing Rosie's nose away again, but she just wouldn't budge. If only I could understand what she was thinkin THE BOOK THAT KILLS PEOPLE

IrrealityMy foot emerges from golden sand. I look to the sky, barely a cloud in sight, and nothing to ruin my day. Alone in this paradise, I walk along the shore, waves lapping at my feet like dogs cautiously taste-testing. Perhaps I shall let the warm waves swallow me whole.   
The platform is covered in people. Like a herd of water buffalo, they're clumped together under the little awning at the side of the train station, trying to escape the rain. I am the only one letting the rain soak my clothing. I have no where to go, no one to impress, and no reason to avoid God's tears, soaking straight through my clothes, perhaps even through my sk Irreality

YES SHE DID.

Earlier, when I said it was 20 miles away, that was true. I rode 20 miles. I didn't think about having to get BACK. So in total, I rode about 40 miles. Maybe a little less, but WHO FLIPPIN' CARES? I mean, shit... how many teenagers DO that?

I'm really proud of myself, but I know I never could have done it if dad hadn't told me that there was no way that I COULD.

But, wow, 40 miles. I've developed several painful blisters. Then, those blisters have developed their OWN blisters. ^^;


I noticed a few things. I'll list them here.

1) In my travels, I came across quite a few McDonalds. I had to stop to wait for at least one person coming out of every drive through lane. Every person I waited for was heavy. THEN WHY DO THEY GO TO MCDONALDS? T__T Ahhh, humanity...

2) I almost got run over, but only once. That's pretty good for a bike ride. Usually, I'm a lot less careful I guess, but anyway, that's not the point. The only time I almost got run over, I was on the shoulder of the road, and this guy just randomly swerved over in his lane so he was CLOSER to me. This ASSHOLE and I were on a road in, get this, Addison. "Addison, the friendly village." :XD: (That's seriously their slogan... *sigh* )

3) You can only FIND a Starbucks when you don't really NEED a Starbucks. When you do, you have to go way out of your way. T__T



And that's about it.

Oh yeah, the first thing my dad said when I got back from my 40 mile bike ride was "Could you please take out the trash?" :XD:

Anyway. Nap. RIGHT NOW.
